Removing old ceramic tile is the first step in most of our Miami flooring jobs. It's also the step homeowners worry about most, and fairly so, because tile demolition is loud and can be messy. Here's what actually happens.
First we protect the space: doorways, cabinets, and any rooms that aren't part of the job get covered. Furniture should be moved out beforehand. If you need help with that, ask when we quote.
Then the tile comes up. The real work is what's left behind: the thinset mortar that held the tile down. If it isn't scraped or ground off, the ridges telegraph through the new floor. We remove it down to a clean, sound slab.
All debris gets bagged, loaded, and hauled off the property. By the end of demo day you should have a bare, swept slab, ready for prep and leveling.
Most single-room tear-outs take a day. Whole-home jobs take longer, and we'll give you a clear schedule in your estimate so you can plan around the noise.
