Is Carpet Tile the Right Choice for Your Office?

Walk into almost any new office in Miami or Fort Lauderdale and you're probably standing on carpet tile. For commercial spaces it has big advantages over broadloom carpet, and we install a lot of it.

The biggest one is repairability. When a coffee spill or a chair wheel ruins a section, you swap out a few tiles instead of recarpeting the room. That's why we leave spare tiles with every commercial client.

Carpet tile also installs with less disruption. Tiles come in boxes, not heavy rolls, and we can work zone by zone at night or over a weekend so the business stays open.

What makes an install look professional is the layout. We start from a snapped center line so the grid stays square, follow the manufacturer's pattern (monolithic, ashlar, or quarter-turn), and cut tight around columns, doors, and tile transitions at entries.

As with any floor, the slab matters. Old adhesive, cracks, and ridges show through carpet tile, so we clean, patch, and flatten the floor first.
